John Greco, Principal

John is a veteran television and video producer, director and writer. He’s the recipient of a national Emmy, Headliner, Gabriel, Wilbur, TIVA Peer, Telly and numerous other awards.

John has supervised, scripted and produced series, documentaries and news coverage for NBC, PBS, Al-Jazeera English, National Geographic, Investigation Discovery and Discovery’s Science, Times, Health and Military channels, among other networks. From 1997 – 2003 John was with the Washington bureau of NBC News, where his last assignment was with the Investigative Unit. He covered terrorism and the government’s campaigns against al-Qaeda and Iraq.

John wrote and produced the award-winning public television documentary Thinking Money: The Psychology Behind Our Best and Worst Financial Decisions in 2014. In addition to documentaries, John was a contributing producer for the long-running PBS magazine show “Religion & Ethics NewsWeekly.”

As a producer for “Dateline NBC,” John covered breaking news from the Clinton presidency through the 9/11 and anthrax attacks, to the Washington-area sniper spree. He has also produced segments for “Nightly News with Tom Brokaw,” the “Today Show,” and MSNBC. At “Dateline” John specialized in investigative, hidden-camera, and automotive safety and other consumer-protection stories, and earned the Emmy and other national journalism awards. Before joining NBC, John worked for several documentary companies that produce for PBS, including Hedrick Smith Productions’ Challenge to America with Hedrick Smith series, which compared the social, educational and political underpinnings of economic competitiveness in Japan, Germany and the US (1994).

John has worked on numerous programs for the BBC as well as other British, European and Australian producers, mainly through Atlantic Television in New York. He’s written and produced dozens of videos for educational and government clients including the Johns Hopkins Hospital, US Army, FBI, NIH and VA.

John earned a master’s at Tufts’ Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and undergraduate degree at Boston College and the University of East Anglia in the UK.
